The problem has been resolved in my case. I've decided to just leave Norton Confidential on and when I log in for the first time, just close out the error messages and be on my merry way.  wurzel Regular and began immediately upon updating.  The message to which you refer solves the problem by disabling an NIS feature.

I have hidden Norton Toolbar without disabling Norton Identity Protection or any other browser protection feature. A clear explanation from Symantec as to what this feature actually does (or is supposed to do) in Chrome would be helpful. It keeps coming up saying Norton Confidential has crashed.

I also get a drop down message from Norton stating that "Norton Confidential has crashed." You are not missing anything except perhaps having picked up that Norton is working on a fix, has been since it was identified, and that when that is completed and tested Restart when prompted.Uninstall all instances of Flash Player from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. You have always been quick to fix any of these types of problems.
